Biography
LEN SPECHT is an experienced graphic designer and producer who is recognized in Connecticut for the visionary designs and unique productions that he has created for major corporations, businesses large and small, museums, and non-profit organizations.
Len works in all areas of digital design including desktop publishing, package design, exhibit design, indoor and outdoor signage, website design, and the production of audio and video projects. He also has experiencing managing fabrication and production services for multiple projects.
Len established Studio Specht in 1999 in order to provide clients with creative design solutions in traditional media as well as emerging technologies.
Prior to establishing Studio Specht, Len a was Director of the Gengras Planetarium at the Science Center of Connecticut. During this time he was responsible for the administration and production of planetarium shows for school groups and the general public. Len was also responsible for designing overseeing the fabrication of museum exhibits. And Len designed marketing materials for educational programs, publications ads and billboards.
During the 1980’s Len headed the audiovisual unit of CIGNA’s Corporate Communications unit, producing audio and multi-image projects. Len also provided senior management with communication support that included telecasting annual and semi-annual shareholder and stock analyst meetings from New York City, Philadelphia, and Hartford to a worldwide audience via satellite.
As a consultant Len staged major corporate events for clients such as Hartford Hospital, United Technologies, and Ætna Life & Casualty. He’s worked with various production crews providing lighting, audio, videography, and editing services.
Len also worked at Producers Two Inc. as an audio engineer/producer, at Audio Visual Rental Center staging major events for their clients, and at G. FOX & CO. establishing its audiovisual department.
